ICE May white sugar expiry delivered 137,500 tonnes to ED&F Man

ICE Futures Europe said on Tuesday 137,500 tonnes of white sugar had been tendered against the May contract that expired on Thursday, confirming earlier trade reports, according to Reuters.

All the sugar was bought by ED&F Man Capital Markets.

The sellers were Macquarie Bank Ltd (50,000 tonnes), JPMorgan Securities (39,000), Louis Dreyfus Company Suisse SA (21,500), BNP Paribas Commodity Futures (18,000) and ADM Investor Services International (9,000).

The total comprised 68,500 tonnes of Guatemalan sugar (load port Puerto Quetzal), 40,000 tonnes from India (Kakinada), 20,000 tonnes from Algeria (Bejaia) and 9,000 tonnes from Brazil (Paranagua).
