Sugar production in the European Union is estimated to decline slightly to 15.49 million metric tonnes in 2025/26 from an estimated 16.42 million in 2024/25, due to a decline in the sugarbeet planting area, according to the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Post in Brussels.Tags: Production, estimates, EU, USDA
