Sugar Annual Report – Brazil

All of USDA’s sugar reports in one place: a mix of monthly Sugar and Sweeteners Outlooks, import/export data and international GAIN reports. Using data collected by US Foreign Service officers working in more than 130 countries the USDA’S Global Agriculture Information Network (GAIN) reports provide timely information on the agricultural economy, products and issues in foreign countries that are likely to have an impact on United States agricultural production and trade.

Brazil’s Marketing Year (MY) 2020/21 sugarcane crush is estimated at 650 Million Metric Tons (mmt), virtually unchanged from MY 2019/20 crop (647 mmt). Good rainfall volumes during Jan-Mar 2020 offset any initial concerns about the dry spell in sugarcane fields during Aug-Oct 2019.
