Brazil’s MY 2019/20 sugarcane crush is estimated at 627 mmt, a relatively similar output compared to the MY 2018/19 crop (620 mmt).  Late rainfall in February and March will likely offset dry spells in December and January. Approximately 38 percent of the crop should be diverted to sugar, a moderate recovery from record low levels in the previous crop, when only 35.9 percent of sugarcane was crushed into sugar.  This is due to the expected increase in sugar demand in the global market as well …
