European sugar prices are rising quickly in line with a tight market before sugar becomes available again around October.
Spot prices are rising sharply in the EU sugar market Although the average reported prices for EU sugar have barely moved (the average was up by just EUR1/tonne to EUR397/tonne in June), “spot” market prices in EU are rising sharply according to reports from the European Union Arable Crops Expert Committee held on August 26.
